How can I forgive my mom for stabbing me in the back?

my mom called cps on me for no reason other that the fact that she hated my ex boyfriend. she told the cps worker that all i do is drink and abuse my son. she also told the worker that I don't feed or bath him and i don't keep food in the house for him. when the cps worker came out to visit with me she saw nothing of what my mom was telling her. but i still have to go to counseling. how can a mother betray her daughter like she did? and how can i forgive this betrayal?
