How do i clear my laptop using a system recovery disk 10 points best answer and thumbs up!! HELP?

i dont have a virus i just want 2 get rid of everything! (except for windows) but i don't know how. My laptop is a advent 6301. I dont know anything about computers, i just want to start over again with just the basics that come with any laptop. How do i do this using a system recovery disk. oh, is there a chance that i will muck up my laptop by doing this? Please help
