How do I become less of a boring loser?

Everyone in my school thinks I'm either completely mute or just flat out boring. But I'm not.. its just that impression of me that makes everyone have an opinion of me before they even know me. I'm sick of it. I have no friends. Just people who feel sorry for me. I hate it. At recess all I do is just sit there, and then the teachers talk to me, which makes me look like even more a loser. I'm sick of being generalized as a boring loser. I just want people to know who I am. How do I make myself seem more outgoing, and funny to people I meet?
