I know that upgrades of Ubuntu generate new kernels in the GRUB. Considering that the new release is coming out soon (10.10--Maverick Meerkat), will this mess up my dual boot of Karmic Koala and Windows XP? In other words, if I install Maverick Meerkat over the Karmic Koala without modifying any partitions, will I need to prune out the older kernel entry for KK in my GRUB? 200 gallon fis tank question.........?

How can I begin to improve my self image and feel better?

I’ve been depressed for years, but things have gotten so bad now I feel like I can’t take it any longer. I have constant feelings of loneliness and depression except when I find something like a video game or funny movie to distract myself. I have a few friends that I hang out with some, but none that I would consider “good” friends. A lot of my feelings of low self-esteem stem from the fact that I’ve never had a girlfriend or even any platonic female friends with the exception of one girl I had a crush on, but I’m not even sure she liked me as a friend. This girl will give me attention and act like she cares about me one day and then totally blow me off for weeks or more at a time, and it really gets to me. I’ve told myself several times that I was going to cut off contact with her, but invariably, one day I will feel especially down and go crawling back to her, restarting the cycle again. Of course I act like none of it affects me and like she’s not the most important thing going on in my life. It’s so hard though because as pitiful as it sounds, she IS; I just try not to telegraph my neediness. I have no hobbies to speak of besides playing guitar some and listening to music. I want a pion in life, but I have nothing I’m pionate about. I’m not suicidal but I desperately want something to live for and I have nothing like that right now. I could see both sides of the story. She was wrong for saying that ESPECIALLY in front of your son, and she took it too far with the joke. Well quoting isn't plagiarizing if you give credit to the source in your essay. But as far as summarizing/paraphrasing goes, you should read a source and take notes, not full sentences- just short notes like maybe events, who/what/where/when/why or people etc... just jot some stuff down. Writing a paragraph or two about him wouldn't be plagiarizing as long as you don't copy the paragraph from somewhere.

Why are we both having medical problems all of a sudden?

I'm 23 and my husband is 25. Within the past year we've been having some medical problems and I'm starting to wonder if it's some sort of environmental factor or something because we just moved into his dad's basement about a year and a half ago and since then we've both been having some medical problems. We've each put on about 30-40 pounds. My periods started getting off track and the doctor had me get an ultrasound and now I have to go for more testing because they found something suspicious. I've had the flu twice. My energy level has been very low. My libido is practically gone. I have GERD. I was diagnosed with Scoliosis in January. I also have an unexplained throat problem. The doctor can't figure out what's going on so he's labeled it as an allergy problem for now but basically, my throat get's tight and give me headaches and I have a hard time swallowing and I cough for about 30 minutes after every meal. My husband has had bronchitis and the flu this year. His energy is low, libido almost gone. He started having stomach pains last week so I took him to the doctor and they did some blood work and his liver enzyme count came back very high so they are doing more testing to see what the problem is with his liver. The amount of medical problems between the two of us is getting ridiculous so I'm thinking that something is causing all of this. Why would two 20 year olds be having so many medical issues? We eat healthy, we stay active, we both work, he goes to school too. We want to get out of his dad's basement but he was laid off from his good paying job and we're trying to get to the point where we can afford to move out but it's going to be a while. Maybe another 6 months to a year. What do you think could be going on? Is this just a coincidence or is something more serious going on here?

Oh, SNAP! WOW! Talk about GLAM! Love the dress! I recall finding a nice variety of sling back heels and other awesome, black pumps at Payless Shoe Source during prom season. They even had ones in black velvet! Otherwise, from a cost standpoint, Wal-Mart. I'd think either black or ones like the model wearing the dress would look nice. Okay so I went to homecoming with the dude, we danced, he held my hand and came to my house and watched a movie, and then we kissed on the lips as a goodnight. if you dont care to then yes you should def. take the psat's again. I took them twice. I got an 1850 on my sats and i dont think i wouldve if i wouldnt have taken the psats twice. I also went online to collegeboard.com and printed off a practice test and studied that. I actually took the SAT's twice too. I am in my second year in college and I never took the ACT's. So you probably don't have to. The only time anyone really uses your scores is when you are applying for school and scholarships. I got into a higher end private school with just my sat score. But if you want to take the ACT's too it wouldn't hurt anything!...I had sone friends that took both but I don't think it was really worth it. They went through a lot of stress and time over it and it didn't get them any further than me..

Well, this is all about QB's and WR's. I'd say Manning to Romo is a downgrade but not huge. And you know Manning probably won't play much at all the last couple weeks of the season as usual due to locking up their division. Winslow is a nonfactor here cause you would still have Finley and he will be a beast! However, Wayne would be a significant upgrade over Walker, and Walker has been showed up in preseason by Mike Thomas! Wayne with Johnson is pretty sick. Housh is a bonus here and would add good depth to your WR corps. He or Holmes, if not both could have decent seasons and I would feel comfortable with either one on a bye week. I wouldn't worry too much about loosing Sanchez. Might want to see what QB's are on waivers before you make the move though, if Romo goes down, you could be screwed. But all considered, I think you should make that TRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, one more thing, check your leagues scoring rules first! There are some leagues where the QB's earn a ton more points which could widen the gap between Manning and Romo and make this trade less appealing. I'm saying go for it based on a standard scoring type league. Good luck!

My Nissan Primera jerks when accelerating and turning slightly right. Problem when overtaking (UK).?

Mostly this is a problem on the motorways, I have to pull out into the overtaking lane first and then accelerate. If I accelerate and turn slightly to the right the car will jerk and loose power until I straighten up and release the accelerator. Sharp turns to the right however don't seem to cause a problem, only seems to happen when turning onto motorways or overtaking. I took the car to a garage and they did a computer test that cost me �50 but they didn't find anything wrong with the car. The only thing I could think of was maybe some flue or electrics pipe or something was getting squashed by stress as I know the engine can move slightly, but can't really see anything in the engine that looks like it could get squashed but I'm no engineer.

Pyloric Stenosis / Infant Reflux?

My son is 7 months old and was diagnosed with reflux at 1 month. Not being satisfied with the lack of effort the pediatrician had in helping my son be more comfortable, I switched doctors. He is currently on zantac and has been for about 3 months and he doesn’t seem to be much better off. When this all first started, the vomiting was forceful but not necessarily projectile. My problem is that with the meds the vomiting is controlled but he is still extremely gy and uncomfortable. I can burp him for 30 minutes with little burps, an hour, 2 hours later he is full of gas. I ran out of the zantac for a weekend and 2 days off he was throwing up after feedings. All that I’ve read about PS seems to be pretty severe. My son is a healthy weight, reaching all the milestones and for the most, is a happy baby but is uncomfortable about 75% of the time. Is there such thing as mild PS? I’ve never seen “wave like” movement but I have heard sloshing of the stomach contents…also has hard BM’s. Im just having a hard excepting the whole reflux thing because he is still so uncomfortable. Been to a GI also, said it was reflux and will grow out of it… Seems to be the only answer they can give!

Help, after installing XP over Vista, Windows XP freezes on loading screen in boot up?

Hi. I followed an on line tutorial on how to install Windows XP over Vista but now I can't load Windows XP because it freezes on the Windows XP loading screen. When I load in Safe mode it freezes on the driver called mup.sys. I have an Acer Aspire 3680 and I have all of the XP drivers on a CD. I am able to get into Safe Mode but not safe mode with networking (it just freezes on mup.sys). I would appreciate any help you can give.

She then said, "well i dont have a reason either. its not like im going to dance or anything." later that day, when i was going to tell her i liked her, i was crushed, when i saw her with another guy. the only thing was, she still refered to me as her husbund, an hour later, when i saw her again. i never got to tell her. i almost did near the end of that term, but something always kept getting in the way when i tried. now, its a new term. i never see her any more. when i do "see" her, its just a casual glance as i p by. we dont talk anymore. i still like her, but after spring break, not to the extent that i did (and i feel bad about it). i guess i just accedentally drowned out my feelings for her, withought realizing it. what should i do? i still want to like her, but i only have 1/4 of the feelings i did.

2 positive pregnancy test digi's PM, 1 positive digi am 1 negative am at same time but diff brands ....?

Ok, so Yesteray I was so excited , I finally got my BFP !! I'm pregnant.. It took us almost 20 months .. So in ttc I had tons of left over pregnancy tests .. To confirm the positive, I took a first response gold digital, it came up positive but it took FOREVER , I took a first response early result test and it was faint but positive , I took a blue dye EPT instantly positive , I took a clear blue digital, pregnant result .. So I wanted to take more so I could take fresh pictures for a keep sake book the next morning, today ... I took 1 EPT ,2 FRER ( one was defective ) 1 clear blue digital and one first response gold digital, again I know I am pregnant, I was just taking them to get fresh pics for the memory/keep sake book . So All of them came up positive right away, including the clearblue digital ... Except for the two first response tests .. The first regular first response did not work .. like the control line was super light and nothing but a thick white line showed up in the test area.. So I took the other one from that pack and it showed up positive right away but still super faint, lighter then the night before ... Also the first response digital came up negative this morning as well.. it was positive last night .. Still like I said, the clear blue digi,ept and regular FRER was positive right away as well as an internet cheepie was positive as well . I am just concerned that thw first response digi came up negative... So... I have like 100 tests ( I bought them in bulk ) I waited 4 hours and re took them this afternoon .. ( I know I am crazy and once again I was only taking them to get clean new pics that had not turned yellow yet ) The clear blue digital came up positive within 20 seconds, the EPT came up positive instantly , still light but you don't need to squint to see it, I also took another first response early result regular test, it came up instantly positive, slightly darker then it was this morning.. but the FRER gold digital still came up negative ? Why would this be ? if it came up positive yesterday afternoon ? but the two of that brand were negative today when I took them.. Again ALL other tests I took from 5 other brands were positive before the time limit was over .... Do I need to worry or do you think that maybe my pee was more concentrated yestersay afternoon and that the first response digital is maybe less sensitive then the clear blue digital ? I know I sound obsessive.. but I am just a little worried.. because it took us so long .. I'm not having any pains, no bleeding.. just a tiny amount of super light brown dishcharge once when I wiped .. I am only 12 or 14 DPO , so it could still be implantation bleeding ... but am I ok ? I'm 17 years old (turning 18 in April) and I still haven't had my first kiss. Not even a small kiss you give your mother or grandma. It's not that I CAN'T, because I can.
